This initiative stemmed from the imperative need to effectively convey a product's potential to an audience, an essential element within the design process.

As a Creative Technical Director, I possess proficiency in motion design, 3D animation, and video editing. However, the challenges lay in the realms of crafting a convincing script and providing a suitable voice-over for a lipstick commercial, a product I had never purchased or marketed before. My journey began with research to identify pertinent keywords that could be integrated into a script. Recognizing my need for guidance, I turned to ChatGPT, a language model, to assist in script generation. ChatGPT provided a foundational script, offering a starting point upon which I could build. It supplied the content and aided in fine-tuning the script's tone and ensuring its adherence to the 30-second duration required for the commercial.
Once the script was finalized, I sought a voice-over solution, and this is where Speechify.com came into play. By inputting the script into Speechify, I received a voice-over audio file, which could be altered by adjusting the keywords in the script, offering flexibility for edits and modifications during the creative process. This dynamic capability of re-scripting and re-recording is invaluable for adapting to changes in graphics and the commercial's overall length.
While the creative process was significantly streamlined by the use of ChatGPT and Speechify, one minor challenge was sourcing the right stock video footage to align with the conceptual ideas. The internal costs and time constraints associated with hiring talent, makeup artist, securing studio rentals, and organizing grip and lighting setups were substantial. In this regard, opting for a subscription to stock video libraries like Shutterstock proved to be a more cost-effective and time-efficient alternative.
In conclusion, this case study demonstrates how the integration of AI, stock video resources, and voice-over solutions can revolutionize the commercial production process, making it not only more efficient but also more adaptable to creative demands. The project underscores the power of technology in facilitating quick and agile adjustments, ultimately enhancing the overall quality and efficacy of creative production.
